Dr. John K. Koniuto, PT, DPT, MSPT, FMT-CI

Founder, Owner, Rocktape Instructor

John is a skilled Physical Therapist and the founder of Oakdale Physical Therapy & Fitness and Koniuto Physical Therapy both based in Court Jester Athletic Club in Johnson City, which specializes in outpatient sports and orthopedic rehab, & prehab services. John's primary clinical specialty focuses on mobility, stability, balance, posture, and functional assessment while incorporating fitness strategies & their positive impact on the aging process. He also holds special interest in injury prevention and wellness using individualized kinesiology taping techniques and movement strategies. In addition to physical therapy, John provides Functional Running Analysis to correct biomechanics, improve efficiency, & manage related injuries. As an FMT Certified Level 1 & 2 RockDoc, John currently teaches 1 & 2-day courses for Kinesiology Taping and Functional Movement Assessment for Medical Minds in Motion.

John earned his BS and Master's in Physical Therapy at Springfield College in 1995 & his Doctorate from Upstate Medical University in 2011. He has worked with semi-pro sports teams such as the BC Jets (EFL) and the Greater Binghamton Football Club (NPSL). He has extensive experience in various clinical settings such as private practice, hospitals, home health agencies, nursing homes, & scholastic and industrial companies. John recently earned NYS EMT Certification through Broome County EMS, and will be joining a community volunteer squad.

 John values the professional and personal relationships he has with his clients and the positive impacts he has on their quality of life. When he is not working, John enjoys rock/ice climbing, mountaineering, hiking, golfing, volleyball, running, and cross training.

Dr. Molly Higgins-Torbitt, PT, DPT, FMT-C, ITPT

Aqua Therapy Director, ImPact Trained PT

Dr. Molly is originally from East Greenbush, NY (outside of Albany). She graduated from Nazareth College of Rochester top of her class with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2015.  Dr. Molly is one of the very rare, and few DPTs who have gotten a 100% on their National Boards.  Through her clinical experiences Molly found her love for aquatic therapy as well as general orthopedic rehabilitation and manual therapy.

Dr. Molly is a FMT Certified Level 1 & 2 RockDoc, Kinesiology Taping and Functional Movement Assessment. She has presented research at the American Physical Therapy Association’s Combined Sections Meeting in 2016 with focus on stroke rehabilitation, in addition to having her research published in the Journal of Neurologic Physical Therapy.  Dr. Molly is credentialed in concussion management through ImPACT Trained Physical Therapist (ITPT) program , to deliver both pre-injury screening and post-concussive care to at risk populations. She has had clinical experience working in orthopedic clinics, geriatrics, and neurological rehabilitation.  She looks forward to working together as a team with her clients to get them to their desired level of function.

 When she is not working, Dr. Molly enjoys running, spending time in the Adirondacks (Schroon Lake), playing tennis, and skiing.

Dr. Alyssa Middaugh, PT, DPT, FMT-C

Women's Health Therapy and Breast Cancer Rehab

Dr. Alyssa is originally from Solon, Ohio, a suburb of Cleveland.  She graduated from Clarkson University with her Masters in Physical Therapy in 2005 and Doctorate in 2008.  She has worked in the hospital based outpatient department where she found a love of treating orthopedic conditions. During this time she became certified in osteoporosis education.  Dr. Alyssa is a FMT Certified Level 1 & 2 RockDoc, Kinesiology Taping and Functional Movement Assessment.  She also has taken many courses specific to cancer rehabilitation and breast cancer rehabilitation. Nothing makes Dr. Alyssa happier than helping a patient return to gym or home workouts after undergoing cancer treatment.  She also has experience with woman's health, such as osteoporosis prevention and treatment and pre- and post-natal care. 

When she is not working she enjoys spending time with her husband and two small children, cheering on the Steeler's football team, and going to country music concerts. 

Eva Gillan

Office & Billing Manager / Marketing Assistant

Eva Gillan is a Johnson City native and a graduate of the Humanities School of Massage Therapy in Pinellas County, FL in 1989. After living in Florida for 21 years, she couldn't resist moving back to the area to raise her son in the community she was raised in. She joined the Oakdale PTF staff in 2008 & returning to a work environment she is familiar with and loves, has been a very rewarding move in her career.

While not at work, Eva enjoys spending time with family and friends, and spending time enhancing her computer skills.

Cara Holland-Hauer

Administrative Assistant - Reception

Cara is our newest addition to the Oakdale PTF Team.  Cara is a Johnson City, NY native who has transplanted to Maine, NY. She is very civic minded and works hard in bettering her community.  When not working or jet setting across the globe with her family, Cara enjoys spending quiet family time with her husband Kenny of 15 years and their two beautiful sons Noah (13) and Leo (10).
