Dr. John K. Koniuto, PT, DPT, MSPT, FMT-C

Founder, Owner, Rocktape Instructor

Dr. John K. Koniuto, PT, DPT, MSPT, FMT-C. Dr. John is the founder and owner of FYZICAL Therapy and Balance Center - Johnson City, formerly known as Oakdale Physical Therapy & Fitness, based in Johnson City. Dr. John's primary clinical specialty focuses on functionally assessing mobility, stability, balance, posture, and performance, while incorporating corrective strategies & their positive impact on the aging process. He also holds special interest in injury prevention and wellness using individualized kinesiology taping techniques and neurokinetic strategies. In addition to physical therapy, John provides Functional Running Analysis to correct biomechanics, improve efficiency, & manage related injuries. After growing up in Binghamton, Dr. John attended Springfield College (MA) to earn a Master's in Physical Therapy in 1995 and then earned his Doctorate in PT at Upstate Medical University in 2012. He has worked locally with semi-pro sports teams such as the BC Jets (EFL) and the Greater Binghamton Football Club (NPSL). He has extensive experience in various clinical settings such as private practice, hospitals, home health agencies, nursing homes, & scholastic and industrial companies. Dr. John also enjoyed sharing his expertise in applying Kinesiology Taping, IASTM, and corrective exercise as an Instructor for RockTape, Vyne Education, and Medical Minds In Motion, as he traveled the country for several years.

John values the professional and personal relationships he has with his clients and the positive impacts he has on their quality of life. When he is not working, John enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters, hiking, golfing, and cross training.

Dr. Molly Torbitt, PT, DPT, FMT-C, ITPT

ImPact Trained PT

Dr. Molly is originally from East Greenbush, NY (outside of Albany). She graduated from Nazareth College of Rochester top of her class with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2015.  Dr. Molly is one of the very rare, and few DPTs who have gotten a 100% on their National Boards.  Through her clinical experiences Molly found her love for general orthopedic rehabilitation and manual therapy.

Dr. Molly is a FMT Certified Level 1 & 2 RockDoc, Kinesiology Taping and Functional Movement Assessment. She has presented research at the American Physical Therapy Association’s Combined Sections Meeting in 2016 with focus on stroke rehabilitation, in addition to having her research published in the Journal of Neurologic Physical Therapy.  Dr. Molly is credentialed in concussion management through ImPACT Trained Physical Therapist (ITPT) program , to deliver both pre-injury screening and post-concussive care to at risk populations. She has had clinical experience working in orthopedic clinics, geriatrics, and neurological rehabilitation.  She looks forward to working together as a team with her clients to get them to their desired level of function.

 When she is not working, Dr. Molly enjoys running, spending time in the Adirondacks (Schroon Lake), playing tennis, and skiing.


Dr. Alyssa Middaugh, PT, DPT, FMT-C

Women's Health Therapy and Breast Cancer Rehab

Dr. Alyssa is originally from Solon, Ohio, a suburb of Cleveland.  She graduated from Clarkson University with her Masters in Physical Therapy in 2005 and Doctorate in 2008.  She has worked in the hospital based outpatient department where she found a love of treating orthopedic conditions. During this time she became certified in osteoporosis education.  Dr. Alyssa is a FMT Certified Level 1 & 2 RockDoc, Kinesiology Taping and Functional Movement Assessment.  She also has taken many courses specific to cancer rehabilitation and breast cancer rehabilitation. Nothing makes Dr. Alyssa happier than helping a patient return to gym or home workouts after undergoing cancer treatment.  She also has experience with woman's health, such as osteoporosis prevention and treatment and pre- and post-natal care. 

When she is not working she enjoys spending time with her husband and two small children, cheering on the Steeler's football team, and going to country music concerts. 


Cara Holland-Hauer

Administrative Assistant - Reception

Cara is our newest addition to the Oakdale PTF Team.  Cara is a Johnson City, NY native who has transplanted to Maine, NY. She is very civic minded and works hard in bettering her community.  When not working or jet setting across the globe with her family, Cara enjoys spending quiet family time with her two beautiful sons Noah (16) and Leo (13).


Tanya Shuba

Lead Client Care Specialist

Tanya is the newest edition to the OPTF Fyzical team as our Lead Client Care Specialist. Tanya is always ready and willing to help clients with their scheduling needs. Tanya graduated from JCHS in 2013. She enjoys spending time vacationing with her family.


Emily Gunn

Director of Marketing / FYZICIAN Liaison

Emily is a Binghamton local who graduated from SUNY Oswego in 2018 with a Bachelors in Marketing with a Minor in Health and Wellness. She continued her education further to receive her Masters in Business Administration with a focus in Health Services Administration, graduating this past May of 2020. Working for FYZICAL, perfectly combines her passion for marketing and helping others! When not working at FYZICAL, she teaches dance at The Fuse Dance Center, where she has danced her whole life. Outside of work and dance, she enjoys spending time outdoors, practicing yoga, and cooking new foods!
