Educational/Professional Credentials
Amy is a New York State licensed and nationally certified massage therapist, having received her Massage Therapy Certification in 1998 from Southeastern School of Neuromuscular Massage Therapy in Jacksonville, Florida. Since then she has enhanced her education with the Upledger Institute, Touch for Health, Integrative Therapies, and other programs across the USA. Most recently, Amy has begun studying Zero Balancing as a means to reach beyond soft tissue work. She has also studied Feng Shui, and is now a certified Feng Shui practitioner. Amy regularly attend workshops and conferences in order to expand and update her knowledge and her skills.
Skills
Amy's modalities utilize touch in the treatment of stress, migraines and other headaches, sciatica, chronic neck and back pain, motor coordination impairments, stress and tension-related problems, chronic fatigue, central nervous system disorders, emotional difficulties, TMJ syndrome, learning disabilities, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and many other dis-eases and imbalances. Amy possess a variety of skills and perform many different techniques including: craniosacral therapy, visceral manipulation, neuromuscular/medical massage therapy, relaxation/Swedish massage, listening assessment skills and kinesiology. Amy specialize's in the integrative approach to improving energy and overall well being with massage and body work therapy.
